This site is maintained by the Washington Office on Latin America, a U.S.-based nonprofit human rights research and advocacy organization. This site is separate from WOLA’s main site (www.wola.org) because of the need for additional functionality, like searching for entries across five categories (geography, agency, abuse type, accountability status, victim classification). WOLA maintains it for educational purposes, and does not track more than basic analytics data about users.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Analytics
We use Plausible, a more privacy-forward web analytics service, to keep basic information about who is visiting, like numbers, pages visited, and geographic areas of origin. WordPress, the platform on which this site is built, also does some analytics that we haven’t bothered to turn off, but almost never consult.
Who we share your data with
Nobody. We don’t have any data other than your IP address. We have no interest in knowing more.
How long we retain your data
We do not retain your data, beyond what little shows up in Plausibility analytics.
What rights you have over your data
We don’t keep your data.
Where we send your data
We don’t keep your data.
